Mike’s love of hats began long before he began to shape them. But eventually his passion led him to connect with one of the West’s premier hatmakers. After years of extracting tips and tricks from the master, Mike began selling his own creations.

Mike’s approach to hatmaking incorporates techniques that are as old as hatmaking itself. It’s an approach that relies more on manual labor and skills than on the use of machines or mechanical aids. The process is more time-consuming, but the result is a well-constructed hat that is truly handmade.

In keeping with his traditional approach to the craft, Mike’s aesthetic preferences reflect traditional Western hat styles–classic shapes with minimal adornment.
