OLD WEST CRAFTSMANSHIP

In the early West, hat makers plied their trade with simple tools, traditional techniques, and lots of manual labor. Their hats were built to withstand the rugged nature of the frontier, and thought to be as essential as your boots or gun.

Today, Mike Marsh follows these same traditions, creating hats that are both everyday essentials and heirlooms.

This guy is a true artist and hatter. He makes every hat: hand blocked, hand sanded, hand stitched, and exactly as ordered. In a world full of imitators, clones and cookie-cutter copycats, Mike Marsh Hats caters to the eclectic, the lone wolves and individualist in the true traditions as he honors the cowboy’s West. I really like the way this humble guy approaches his craft.
